The Youth Ministry Model at Revolution Youth Ministry

Purpose Statement: FUMC Youth Ministries exist to PRAISE God, to REACH
OUT and SHAPE our LOVE so that all may GROW together in God's word.
Our youth program is based on two important scriptures,
Matthew 22: 37-40 Greatest Commandment and Matthew 28: 19-20. Great Commission

Core VALUES
    Help teens develop a personal relationship with God. While
second-hand faith is better than no faith, there’s no doubt that
first-hand faith wins the prize.  Help teens develop a faith that
says, “I believe in God, not because my parents say so, or because my
youth minister or preacher says so, but because I have experienced and
know God in my life.”
    Build a Christ-like attitude and spirit into the youth group. “Your
attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus,” Philippians 2:5.
This means more than just asking, “What would Jesus do?”  It calls for
a clear-cut lifestyle of surrender.
    Involve students in daily Bible study and prayer. Providing the
opportunity and tools to make it possible. Devo teens each month, our
weekly prayer concerns
    Parental support and congregational participation prevent this by
creating a high level of parental involvement. Have your parents teach
for a quarter, host devotionals in their homes, chaperone trips, etc.
    Develop quality leadership among the group. Jesus called His
followers with, “Follow me.”  By the end of His ministry He had
trained them to lead. Paul even said, “Imitate me as I imitate Christ”
(I Corinthians 11:1). Give your teens the responsibility and let them
lead. Dust them off when they fall down and encourage them to keep
going. Here are a few ways you can let teens lead: Devotionals, praise
team, student leadership team, teaching class, heading up a service
project, forming prayer groups, etc.

5 eternal PURPOSES for a purpose driven youth ministry
    Evangelism - Reach Out, Is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ
with those who don’t yet have a personal relationship with him.
    Fellowship – Heart, Usually through some avenue of personal or
programmatic evangelism, they are welcomed into the fellowship of
believers
    Discipleship – Growth Discipleship is the term regularly used to
describe the building up or strengthening of believers in their quest
to be like Christ
    Ministry – Service, Ministry can be defined as “meeting needs with
love.” God has blessed every believer with special gifts to be used
for ministry.
    Worship - Praise
